Flight Instructor - Travis Brown
- Commercial SEL
Travis has always been active in aviation at Lakeland Linder Airport.
A native of Lakeland, FL, he started his interest in aviation by going to the Sun-N-Fun summer camps as a kid.
As he got older he flew with family friends that had planes.
He is still an active volunteer with Sun-N-Fun and an active member of AOPA, EAA, SPA, and Lakeland Aeroclub.
He soloed at the age of 16 and was a private pilot at the age of 17.
Travis is a completely Tailwheels Etc. home grown CFI. He has completed all his training at Tailwheels Etc, and has made many great friends along the way.
He has traveled to Oshkosh with them two years in a row.
Currently, he is involved with building a wooden experimental replica super cub with one of his childhood friends.
He is also enrolled on the aviation program at Polk State College.
Eventually, he will be working to obtain his CFII, MEI, A&P, SES, MES and helicopter rating.
He loves flying and working on planes, so any chance he gets to be around them makes him happy.
Travis is loved by his students for his slightly goofy personality, but professionalism during training.
